Large Grants Program

HFL’s 2026 Large Grants Program supports organizations doing impactful work in the areas of Attainable Housing (AH), Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL), and Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) with multi-year funding.

HFL released an open call for its 2026 Large Grants Program with a Request for Application (RFA) on April 1, 2026. HFL used a two-step application process; applicants submitted a letter of intent (LOI) as a first step, providing a high-level overview of the proposed project. Organizations that received a favorable response to their LOI were then invited to submit a full application.

HFL is currently reviewing the full applications and will announce Large Grant awards in October 2026.

HFL anticipates releasing the next open call for the Large Grants Program in 2029.
